Tolomeo Bank Limited had built something genuinely rare: A Private Bank based in Antigua and operating across international jurisdictions that had grown quietly and steadily through deep personal networks, trusted relationships, and an unwavering commitment to discretion. The business was credible, international, and well-regarded by those who knew it.
The problem was the website. It reflected none of the calibre of the organisation behind it. Serviceable, but looking nothing like a bank of Tolomeo’s standing - and unable to tell the story clearly even to someone who already knew the name.
That disconnect mattered commercially. Tolomeo Bank was evolving from a relationship-only growth model toward something more scalable; reaching new client segments, broadening its referral network, and beginning to attract a younger, more digitally fluent audience. The old site couldn't support any of that.
We began with a structured discovery session involving key Tolomeo Bank stakeholders, held virtually with teams based across their operating locations. The session wasn't a formality. It was where the real complexity of the project revealed itself.
Tolomeo’s capabilities extend across core banking, wealth management, and brokerage; a broad service architecture underpinned by a clear philosophy: Protection through diversification. The same modern Private Bank, held to Swiss-style standards, across multiple jurisdictions.
Understanding that full picture - legally, commercially, and in terms of audience - shaped the design decisions that followed.
Before any design work began, we developed a set of brand guidelines with web application at the forefront. Not a generic style document; a practical working framework for how the Tolomeo Bank brand should behave digitally, including art direction for photography that informed image sourcing throughout.

From that foundation, the site was designed and built with Tolomeo Bank’s extended service architecture front of mind - wealth management and brokerage sitting alongside its core banking offer, each requiring its own navigation logic and content hierarchy.
The discovery session made clear that Tolomeo Bank’s audience does not have a single profile. High-net-worth clients, external asset managers, referring partners, and a rising generation of digitally native, globally mobile clients - each group brings different expectations and the site needed to speak to all of them without trying to be everything at once.
For a Private Bank, that means the design must do a specific kind of work. It can't be loud. It can't over-explain. It needs to communicate credibility, discretion, and substance quickly - because the people it's talking to are often already in the middle of something. A transaction, a referral conversation, a due diligence process - they're assessing whether Tolomeo is the right partner. The site's job is to make that answer obvious.
The content Tolomeo supplied was professional and considered. Our role was to optimise it for digital use, shape the information hierarchy so each audience found what they needed without friction, and ensure the tone held consistently throughout.
Marketing collateral followed the same creative framework: flyers, business cards, and signage, ensuring the physical brand arrived at the same standard as the digital one.
I would highly recommend Helen and her team. After a number of exceptional years of growth, we decided to invest in rebuilding our website and refresh our brand. The team at WDC Creative were supportive and very flexible given the multi-geography nature of our bank and team locations. The project exceeded my expectations.
Marianne Pells, COO, Tolomeo Bank Limited

The relationship with Tolomeo Bank continues. Ongoing support covers the site alongside several other projects in development. That's the right outcome for a project of this kind - not a handover, but a platform. The website is now doing what it should have been doing for some time: reflecting the business that was already there.
If your website no longer reflects the business you've built - that's exactly the kind of problem we're set up to solve. Find out more about how we approach website design and development.
