Sharing valuable research is one thing. Making sure people can easily access, understand and use it is another.
That was the challenge facing the Strathclyde Research Hub for Innovative Pedagogy, part of the University of Strathclyde's Centre for Teaching Excellence.
Working with the team at Strathclyde, we helped develop a suite of branded templates designed to make sharing research, insights and information simpler, clearer and more engaging for busy teachers and education professionals.
The Hub needed a collection of resources that could support different types of communication, while remaining consistent with the wider Centre for Teaching Excellence identity.
With a busy professional audience in mind, it was important that each resource had a clear purpose and was easy to navigate, whether someone was reading a detailed research paper, catching up on a newsletter or looking for a quick summary of key information.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we worked closely with the Strathclyde team to understand what they needed and how the resources would be used.
From there, we developed a suite of templates, each designed around a different purpose and type of content.
While each template has its own distinctive look and feel, they share a consistent visual style that brings everything together under one recognisable identity.
We also adapted the templates into different formats to make them practical for ongoing use across the Hub's team and wider network of associates.
The result is a flexible collection of resources that gives the team the tools to share their work clearly and consistently, without having to start from scratch each time.

A successful project isn't just about the final design. It's about understanding what a client needs and working together to get the details right.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with the Strathclyde team, helping to shape the templates, explore different approaches and refine the outputs through feedback.
The aim was to create something that didn't just look good, but genuinely worked for the people using it.
And we're pleased to say the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
One of the aspects we valued most was WDC's commitment to working alongside us until we had products that both we and they were genuinely proud of.

The best resources are the ones people can actually use.
By bringing consistency, clarity and flexibility to the Hub's communications, we've helped create a suite of templates that supports the team in sharing valuable educational research with the people who need it.
It's a great example of how thoughtful design, practical thinking and a collaborative approach can make a real difference to how organisations communicate.

While this project was rooted in the education sector, the thinking behind it applies to organisations across all industries.
Whether you're communicating with teachers, healthcare professionals, engineers or senior business leaders, your audience needs information that is relevant, accessible and easy to understand.
The challenge is finding the right balance: creating content that works for different audiences and purposes, while maintaining a consistent and recognisable brand.
It's not about making everything look the same, or making everything look different. It's about giving each piece of content a clear purpose and making sure it works for the people it's intended for.
Your organisation already has valuable knowledge, expertise and insights. The opportunity is making sure they're communicated in a way that reaches the right people.
At WDC, we bring together strategic thinking, creativity and practical design to help organisations make more of what they have.
Let's make your content work harder.
